If a dodge 4 X 4 2001 truck sinks in lake for 1 hour in 7 ft of water is it repaiable? - truck wreckers

My car rolled into the lake and moved an hour later with a crane. Can it be fixed if they have to do?

Mopar magazine had an article about the restoration of a Dodge 4x4 that have been for 12 years under water and has been restored. Personally, I have vessels to be seen outside of the lake, after a few days and has been restored.
Start by draining all fluids, engine oil, transmission and differential.
Remove the distributor cap and dry the distributor. The spark plug must be removed to obtain water from the top of the piston. The gas tank is likely to be drained. If you blow all the liquid water above the handle in the rest of the water-piston.
It is time to identify water damage to the electronics. When fires are likely to be executed.
One thing that is difficult to do in the efforts of this kind, it is the smell of fish from the cushion. All upholstery and carpets are needed to change.

It is entirely possible and has been done before, but I'm not sure it is practical.
In a car of 8 years, the cost of repairs likely to exceed the value of the vehicle.
I hope you have good insurance.
Best of luck!
