Sealing Concrete Bathtub What Should I Use To Seal The Bathtub Drain To Floor Drain?

What should I use to seal the bathtub drain to floor drain? - sealing concrete bathtub

I am installing a bathroom in my basement. The drains have been abused know that they are in most cases, the manufacturer rock around the drain so the installer can reach the drain. Your builder does not like the concrete surrounding the drain.

The problem is that the leak must be drained in the bathtub about 6 inches. There are about 1 / 8 "space outside the drain in the sink drain into the ground. I can use a connection, because there are only about 1 inch between the bottom and overflow. Not enough to make a connection to the lower floor bathtub drain contact.

Is there some kind of glue can I use to make the space between the floor drain of the tub and drain-seal? Do I have to dig some concrete around the DRAin to fit a connection?

Have you looked at a rubber gasket that lies between the floor drain and the drain of the bathtub. I think the stamps for the connection of cast iron drain pipe flanges of iron waste.

They are available everywhere and cost about $ 10 (possibly less)

A bath requires a free space at the end of the bath drain overflow fittings for the installation and assembly. The vertical pipe that goes to the concrete needs to have a trap under the plate, to seal off the methane gas line from his house. The trap must 2''et at a particular time in force, the pipe must be reduced to 1 1 / 2 ". Once the card must be the case for future training and will be installed and / or repair of waste and overflow assembly. sounds like a plumber, it should be recalled to correct the situation, we should let this chance if the pipe has been mistreated for you!

First choice, a paper towel

The second option was to break: with some concrete and forward.

Regular old plumber PuTTY is the best thing I've found. Make a snake "bit" of it and placed completely around the drain hole, before they fled. After the leak is dense, so that the excess glue and put it in the bath and save it for next time.

Main drain not have drain.Floor work for bathtub drains typically drain holes. If you have the drain in the floor.
My advice is to destroy the drains on the floor. Remove floor drain, then with a plug. They are usually a rubber gasket with clamps strengthening in general.
